Sabater Pi Collection

The Sabater Pi Collection houses books, journals, drawings and watercolors from fauna and flora - especially some exclusive material of primates and above all of Snowflake. The collection contains also a wide range of information about African cultures. Emeritus Professor Jordi Sabater Pi (1922) worked as ethologist and anthropologist in Equatorial Guinea from 1940 till 1969. Equatorial Guinea is the country of origin of Snowflake where he was named Nfumu, which means in Fang language: white. After his transport to the Barcelona Zoo he was renamed as Snowflake – Copito de Nieve.
