During a 3 months residency at Hangar- The Visual Arts and Multimedia Production Center Barcelona  - I started to investigate the history and myth of the albino gorilla Snowflake – (Castellan: Copito de Nieve/ Catalan: Floquet de Neu) who lived at the Barcelona Zoo from 1966 untill his death in 2003. My working period was a multifaceted observation with objectives focused on the cultural remembrance of Snowflake in relation with the city of Barcelona.
The staring points of the research are the Barcelona Zoo and the Sabater Pi Collection. During this work period I had several inspiring encounters with Emeritus Professor Jordi Sabater Pi.
