Entering Guinea Ecuatorial

12-06-2008

Our first day in Bata. The sun dissapearing behind the sea.

Arriving 11 June in Malabo, capital of Guinea Ecuatorial, sleeping in hotel Yoly and taking a flight next day to Bata (30min).Travelling with doctors without borders and workers going to work in aluminium and petrol enterprises in Bata.Workers from Ecuador,Asia and Libanon.
Weather of the tropics, warm, humidity, and bit of rain.

Entering Bata was full of expectation accompanied by the desires and difficulties that brought us here.We stay in Panafrica hotel next to the Paseo Maritimo, a walk besides the Atlantic Sea.
Guinea Ecuatorial is the only country in Africa where people talk Spanish, their speaking rythm is a constant music.Besides Spanish they still talkFang.
We visit the spanish cultural centrum and we meet Almu and Jose, the people who will collaborate with our project, helping to contact the schools and the group of kids.
In te night we ate fish and talk with the locals from Bata.

The weight of the body, changed, more heavy....falling arms !
The movements are reducing speed because of the warm weather (30 degrees) all day long,
also during nights.
The state of mind is more open and less focus.
